Altas Perps Squad rules Dance as One Cheerdance tilt

Nine-time National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) champion Altas Perps Squad won the Dance as One Cheerdance Competition on Tuesday at the Bonifacio Global City Amphitheater in Taguig City.
The Altas Perps Squad, under the tutelage of coach Ruf Vandolph Rosario bested four other finalists, namely Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Pep Squad, Quezon City Polytechnic University Pep Squad, Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) Pep Squad and Rizal Technological U (RTU) Pep Squad with their impeccable display of stunts, pyramid formations and synchronized dance steps.
The team is due to perform live in the opening ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue Bulacan on November 30.
“It is an honor for our beloved school to be part of the opening of this historic sports competition,” University of Perpetual Help System DALTA owner Tony Tamayo said.
ICA finished second and RTU third.
“l always tell the kids that in every competition, you are not competing against others but yourselves. You should learn how to handle pressure, relaxation and balancing. Only you can control you,” Rosario said.
Rosario added that his wards will also perform in halftime breaks of some of the featured events in the SEAG.
