Police across B.C.’s south coast are warning residents of various scams at play in recent weeks.

On Vancouver Island, residents are receiving calls from someone who claims to be the Canada Revenue Agency, demanding SIN numbers or payment.

Meanwhile, Coquitlam RCMP warned residents about calls from alleged CRA agents demanding bitcoin payment.

And in Richmond, police say a buried treasure scam appears to have returned and is targeting Chinese speakers.
