Metro Manila, other parts of Luzon to have scattered rains on Sunday
MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila, along with other areas in Luzon, will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms on Sunday, the weather bureau said.
This will be brought about by a tail-end of a cold front, which is affecting Northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said it its daily weather forecast.
The other affected areas include the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon and the provinces of Rizal and Quezon.
Meanwhile, Pagasa said the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.
The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
It has also issued general flood advisories in several areas in Luzon.

Strong winds in the northeast direction is expected over Northern Luzon, with rough coastal waters.
Meanwhile, the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon will have moderate to strong wind speeds from southwest to southeast, with moderate to rough coastal conditions.
Pagasa said moderate winds from southwest to west will likewise prevail over Visayas and the rest of Luzon, while coastal waters will also be moderate.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds from southwest to west, with slight to moderate coastal conditions.
The weather bureau is also monitoring Severe Tropical Storm “Nakri” (local name “Quiel”).
Nakri was last spotted at 290 kilometers northwest of Southern Luzon, moving west-northwest at 20 kilometers per hour. /je
