Magnitude 5.1 quake shakes Eastern Samar

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake hit Eastern Samar on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The epicenter of the quake was recorded at 32 kilometers southwest of Guiuan, Eastern Samar at 1:31 p.m. It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 21 kilometers.
Intensity 4 was felt in Guiuan, Mercedes, and Salcedo in Eastern Samar; Intensity 3 in Tacloban City; Palo, Babatngon, Dulag, Abuyog, Hilongos, Bato, and Tolosa in Leyte, and San Francisco in Southern Leyte.
