Transit workers are currently staging a multi-part strike, as negotiations with the Coast Mountain Bus Company broke off last week.

The strike began Friday with a uniform strike by transit operators and an overtime ban by maintenance workers. SeaBus service was also affected this weekend.

Unifor is seeking a 15.2 per cent increase compounded over four years for bus drivers and 16.7 per cent compounded over four years for maintenance workers. The employer, Coast Mountain Bus Company, is offering 9.6 per cent  for drivers and 12.2 per cent for maintenance workers.

After seven cancellations on Tuesday, Seabus commuters will be hit especially hard on Wednesday, with 14 sailing cancellations over the course of the day.

There will be 14 sailing cancellations in the morning and afternoon.

From Lonsdale Quay:
• The 7:10 a.m. from Lonsdale Quay will be cancelled
• The 7:40 a.m. from Lonsdale Quay will be cancelled
• The 8:40 a.m. from Lonsdale Quay will be cancelled
• The 9:10 a.m. from Lonsdale Quay will be cancelled
• The 4:10 p.m. from Lonsdale Quay will be cancelled
• The 6:20 p.m. from Lonsdale Quay will be cancelled
• The 7:30 p.m. from Lonsdale Quay will be cancelled

From Waterfront:
• The 7:25 a.m. from Waterfront will be cancelled
• The 7:55 a.m. from Waterfront will be cancelled
• The 8:55 a.m. from Waterfront will be cancelled
• The 9:25 a.m. from Waterfront will be cancelled
• The 4:25 p.m. from Waterfront will be cancelled
• The 6:35 p.m. from Waterfront will be cancelled
• The 7:45 p.m. from Waterfront will be cancelled
