Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour before you go to bed tonight.
B.C. is shifting to standard time, otherwise known as that magical time of the year when you get an extra hour of sleep, unless of course you are the parent of small children then all bets are off.
Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. PT Sunday, perhaps for the last time in B.C.
B.C. is pushing ahead with a plan to end seasonal time changes, but the government has said before it makes any changes it wants to ensure the province stays on the same time as its trading partners in the western U.S. states of Washington, Oregon and California.
Premier John Horgan recently discussed the possibility of abandoning the time change with Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and other U.S. politicians.
Legislators in California, Oregon and Washington have proposed bills to end the change and observe daylight time year-round. Those states require federal approval before they can act.
