Palace All Souls’ Day message: Be kind, forgiving

Malacañang reminded the public to be good, kind, compassionate, and forgiving as Filipinos celebrate the value of life on All Souls’ Day.
Presidential spokesman Salvador Panelo said Malacanang is joining Catholic faithful in observing All Souls’ Day and remembering the dearly departed.
“As we take time to remember our dearly departed and reminisce many happy memories with them, this occasion is an opportune time to offer our solemn prayer to loved ones who joined our Creator and to continue seeking their protection and guidance,” he said.
Panelo said All Souls’ Day is not only a day to pray for everyone’s departed loved ones but is also a reminder for everyone to make their lives meaningful.
“All Souls’ Day likewise reminds us how fleeting life is and how short time is. It is thus a good reminder to everyone, regardless of one’s status in life, to put meaning to their existence and to the time they spent whilst living,” he said.
“Let us henceforth do good, kindness, compassion, and forgiving. Let us be the force of change we want to see in society. Let us love one another and spread love,” he added.
