Qatar recently launched its first visa center in the Philippines. The opening of Qatar Visa Center (QVC) in Pasay City will expedite the processing of visa applications of Filipinos heading to Qatar.

Enrolment of biometric data and medical tests of Filipinos who desire to work at the Gulf state will be facilitated at the visa center. Work contracts can also be checked and signed. These visa processing requirements used to be done in Qatar, but Filipinos can now accomplish it in the Philippines through the QVC.

Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Philippines Ali Ibrahim Al Malki expressed that the opening of the visa center “reflects the great interest of the State of Qatar to strengthen its bilateral relations with the Philippines in various fields.” Al Malki assured that Qatar is constantly making efforts “to provide the best decent life and appropriate work environment for the migrant workers as their presence means significant contribution to the development of the State of Qatar.”

QVC is located at National University Mall of Asia in Pasay City. It will operate on weekdays, from 8:30a.m. to 4:00p.m.

Around 300-350 applicants can be accommodated daily.
