Person on mobility scooter seriously injured in crash in Surrey

A person driving a mobility scooter is in hospital with possible life threatening injuries after being hit by a car in the Cloverdale area of Surrey Saturday.

Mounties say at around 11 a.m. Surrey RCMP responded to a collision between a mobility scooter and vehicle at the intersection of 56th Avenue at 177B Street.

The person driving the mobility scooter was taken to hospital with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.

Police say 56th Avenue between the intersection of 180th Street and 176B Street is closed while Mounties investigate.

Investigators are seeking witnesses to contact the Surrey RCMP. They are are also looking for dash-cam video.
