Balba assumes MPD post

Brig. Gen. Bernabe Balba assumed his new post on Wednesday as head of the Manila Police District.
During the turnover of command rites, Balba, a member of class ’88 of the Philippine Military Academy, said he wants Manila policemen to be clean and dependable.
“Ipakita at ipadama natin na ang Police Maynila ay Malinis, Magalang at Maasahan (let’s show and make the citizens feel that policemen from Manila are clean, respectful, and dependable),” Balba said.
His predecessor, Brig. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr., was appointed Regional Director of Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), or Region 4A. Joshua Vera Cruz
