Magnitude 4.9 aftershock hits Cotabato town – Phivolcs

A magnitude 4.9 aftershock hit a town in Cotabato on Saturday night, the Philippine Institue of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said on its website.
The quake, tectonic in origin, struck Tulunan at 7:44 p.m. and had a depth of 29 kilometers, Phivolcs said.
Intensity 3 was recorded in Kidapawan City; Malungon, Sarangani and Kidapawan City; Intensity 2 in Tupi, South Cotabato; and Intensity 1 in General Santos City.
Phivolcs Chief Renato Solidum said on radio dzMM that the aftershock was among the more than 600 that have been recorded since a magnitude 6.3 quake hit Tulunan on Wednesday night.
Six people died and close to 100 others were injured in the tremor that also damaged more than 1,000 structures in affected areas.
