1,699 structures damaged, 1,653 families affected after Mindanao quake – NDRRMC

A total of 1,699 structures were damaged and 1,653 families were affected by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake that hit Mindanao, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRMC) reported on Saturday.
Of the total, 1,360 were houses, 269 schools, 21 health facilities, 24 other public structures, 10 private establishments, eight places of worship, and seven roads and bridges in Davao (Region 11), SOCCSKSARGEN (Region 12) and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The 1, 653 affected families were from 52 villages in Davao and SOCCSKSARGEN.
Fifty-eight families are in four evacuation centers while 547 are staying outside the facilities.
The death toll remains at 6 and 93 are injured.
The NDRRMC has no assessment report on the amount of the damage as of posting time. DARWIN PESCO
