TUBA, Benguet: Five cadavers in advanced state of decomposition and a skeleton were discovered by concerned residents and authorities in a deep ravine along Marcos Highway, now known as the Palispis-Aspiras Highway, particularly at Poyopoy, on Tuesday afternoon. Tuba Municipal Police Station chief James Acod said the cadavers of the still unidentified victims were likely dumped in the ravine more than two weeks ago, while the skeleton was probably dumped in the area for more than a month since their discovery. Residents believed that something went wrong in their surroundings because of the foul smell emanating from the area where the cadavers and the skeleton were found, which prompted them to report to police authorities. Acod said it was still too early to conclude on the cause of death as investigation is still underway. DEXTER SEE
