High-risk sex offender released, will live in Vancouver

Police are issuing a public warning about a high-risk sex offender who has been released and plans to live in Vancouver.
Trevor Leonard Smith, 46, has been released and will be residing in Vancouver. Smith is a federal offender and is considered a high-risk to reoffend, according to the Vancouver police and the Correctional Services of Canada.
Smith was convicted of sexual assault, possession of child porn, accessing child porn, assault causing bodily harm and failure to comply with a court order.
He is described as a white man, about 5-foot-10 and weighing 170 pounds. He has grey hair and blue eyes, and has previously used the surnames Landry and Williams.
Vancouver police have previously issued two public warnings about Smith, one in November 2017 and another in March 2019.
Smith is ordered to keep the peace and behave, report to a probation officer, remain in B.C. and reside at pre-approved home, advise police of any relationships or friendships with women, not to drink or use drugs, and not to contact or communicate with anyone under the age of 16.
Smith is also to avoid visiting a public park, school, recreational or community centre, skating rink or swimming pool, playground or anywhere a person under the age of 16 may be present. He is not to use a computer or the internet except with police permission and not to use any data encryption, electronic storage or software without written permission of a police officer.
Anyone who spots Smith violating any of these conditions should contact 911 immediately.
