P170-M ‘shabu’ hauled in Quezon City

THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police seized a total of P170 million worth of shabu in two drug operations in Quezon City.
In a drug operation with Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Station 10, 15 kilos of shabu worth P102 million were confiscated at the Quezon City Memorial Circle Complex at about 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Director Joel Plaza of the PDEA-National Capital Region (NCR) identified the Chinese suspect as Hongbo Ho, 45.
At least P68 million worth of shabu were seized at 4:30 p.m. at Barangay Sienna also on Tuesday.
The arrested suspects were identified as Liu Fu Gui, Chinese, Keith Anthony Romo and Nonito Garlindo, both Filipinos.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Illegal possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Article 2 of the Republic Act (RA) 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. DARWIN PESCO
