Men of Steel: When Brandon Routh meets Tyler Hoechlin
If you think you’re seeing double, don’t worry, there’s nothing wrong with your eyes.
Four days after posting a recent announcement on Instagram about hanging up his costume for Atom aka Ray Palmer in the CW series “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” Brandon Routh happily hinted at “revisiting” the Man of Steel.
Routh portrayed Clark Kent in Bryan Singer’s “Superman Returns” 13 years ago, and he is set to don Kal-El’s red-and-blue garb again—this time, for the Arrowverse crossover, “Crisis on Infinite Earths.”
If seeing Superman will spread good cheer to fanboys everywhere, imagine what two Men of Steel can do!
Yes, oversized nerds. You’ll soon be seeing Brandon sharing the screen with another Superman in the person of Tyler Hoechlin, who will play a younger version of the superhero.
In his precious photo with Tyler, Brandon said, “#DoubleVision—the new #Superman ability! Grateful to share the #Arrowverse as #Superman for a short time with the charming & gracious @tylerhoechlin! I never thought I’d get to meet #Superman in person… Gotta say, it’s all it is cracked up to be!”
But won’t Lois Lane have a difficult time choosing? Tee-hee. —RITO P. ASILO
