Authorities searching for 10- and 13-year-old girls in Surrey

Mounties in Surrey are searching for two young girls missing since Thursday morning.

RCMP say the sisters, 10-year-old Shauntae Joseph and 13-year-old Nikita Joseph, were last seen at 8 a.m. in the 6400-block of 121st Street.

Shauntae is described by police as First Nations, 5-foot-2, with a slim build and long dark hair. She was last seen wearing a black sweater, black Kappa track pants, and black and white Vans shoes.

Police are searching for 10-year-old Shauntae Joseph of Surrey.

Nikita is described as First Nations, 5-foot-2, with a slim build and long dark hair. She was last seen wearing a grey Thrasher hoodie and blue jeans.

Mounties say police and family are concerned for their health and well-being.
