WILL newly crowned Miss Eco Teen Philip­pines Vanessa Mae Walters be dethroned?

The question cropped up after the beauty queen uploaded a pho­to of her naked self on Instagram.

She captioned it thus: “There’s a lot of bad things there wishing on me #victoriassecret.”

It wasn’t clear if it was done on a whim or for a modeling gig.

Netizens reacted dif­ferently to the photo.

Some say it was artis­tically done, expressing admiration over Walters’ lithe, sculpted body.

There were others, however, who were shocked, deeming the whole thing unbecom­ing of a beauty queen.

Asked to comment on the Instagram photo, Miss World Philippines General Man­ager Arnold Mercado said sim­ply: “We will issue a statement soon.”

Walters, 19, is taking up Law and Philosophy at Harvard Uni­versity in Cambridge, Massa­chusetts.

She is the first Miss Eco Teen Philippines winner.

The pageant is under Miss World Philippines Organization as led by Arnold Vegafria.

Walters is of mixed Australian-Filipino lineage.
