Vancouver police investigating two separate shootings reported early Sunday

Police are investigating two separate shooting thats occurred in Vancouver early Sunday morning.
In the first shooting, one man was taken to hospital just after midnight after being shot outside a Vancouver restaurant.
According to B.C. Emergency Health Services, one man was taken to hospital just after midnight after shots were fired outside the New Mandarin Seafood Restaurant near Gladstone and Kingsway streets.
Vancouver police confirmed the man, who was taken to hospital in critical condition after being shot repeatedly, was a 44-year-old Vancouver resident.
Police have not yet shared any details, though police dog units and emergency response team members were on site assisting with the investigation following the shooting.
No information has been released about a suspect or possible motive.
The second shooting took place around 4:30 a.m. in the Downtown Eastside. Police who arrived on scene found the victim, a 35-year-old Surrey man, near the corner of East Hastings and Heatley Avenue.
Police have not shared details about the man’s condition.
Investigators believe the two shootings are unrelated at this time, but say they are both targeted incident. Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to contact police at 604-717-2541.
