Indian chef nabbed in Boracay

Bureau of Immigration agents arrested in the tourist island destination of Boracay in Aklan an Indian employed as a chef in one of the restaurants there for working without a permit and visa.

BI intelligence chief Fortunato S. Manahan Jr. identified the alien as Vincent Joseph Mondal, 42, who is allegedly an overstaying and undocumented alien.

According to him, the foreigner was caught last week in the act of working as a chief cook at the Namaster Restaurant located beside the Boracay public market.

“He was unable to present his passport or any travel document when our agents confronted him to verify his immigration status,” he added.
