Delta police respond to shots fired in Tsawwassen

Bullets were flying in Tsawwassen Wednesday night, but luckily no one was injured.

Delta police responded to a report of shots fired in the 5500 block of 18th Avenue around 11:50 p.m.

There were no reported injuries but a vehicle was hit.

Police deployed a canine team to the area but no suspects were located.

Delta police say the shooting was not gang related but rather connected to an “ongoing dispute between parties known to each other.”

Police say residents can expect an increased police presence in the area while the investigation continues.
