Vancouver woman charged with luggage theft at YVR

A Vancouver woman has been charged in connection with stolen luggage at Vancouver International Airport.
This is the third person to be arrested this year on allegations they stole travellers’ bags from a luggage carousel.
The latest person to be charged is 26-year-old Miriam Tremblay, who faces seven counts of theft under $5,000.
She was arrested on Aug. 2. The charges stem from luggage stolen from the carousel between July 12 and Aug. 2. at the YVR domestic flights terminal, which can be accessed by those not travelling on flights.
Tremblay is scheduled to appear in Richmond Provincial court on Wednesday.
A man was arrested for luggage theft on July 26 and on April 17, RCMP arrested 60-year-old Miriam Fajardo. She was charged with nine counts of theft under $5,000.
