Advocates are calling for an overhaul of paid parking at local hospitals, with one person calling the practice “emotional abuse.”
“When people go to a hospital, they are in an exposed state of mind because they’re often panicking, they may be hurt, they may be suffering,” said Jon Buss, who heads up the advocacy group calling on government and hospital authorities to review their parking practices.
“This is not the venue to operate a for-profit operation.”
