Two men arrested in fatal shooting in Surrey

Two men have been arrested after a man was shot dead in Surrey early Friday morning.

Shortly after midnight Thursday, Surrey RCMP were called out to a fight in the 1600-block of 160 street.

When they arrived, they found a 46-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds inside a house. The victim later died from injuries.

Two men have been arrested. Surrey RCMP say they remain in custody, but no charges have been laid at this time.

Police do not believe that there are any other suspects and say the suspects knew the victim.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called and will be working with the Surrey RCMP Major Crime Section.

RCMP say 160 Street is shut down for both north and south bound traffic between 16th Avenue and Alder Place.

Shortly after 3 a.m., RCMP said traffic will be affected for “an unknown amount of time.”
