Pagasa lowers alerts as ‘Jenny’ weakens after Aurora landfall

TROPICAL storm “Jenny” has weakened into a tropical depression as it made landfall in Aurora on Tuesday night, prompting the state weather bureau to lower its alerts in the affected areas.
Bulquerin said Jenny was expected to exit the PAR within the day.
Signal No. 1 remained up in some Cagayan, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, northern portion of Zambales, Tarlac.
Gale warning was raised in Batanes, Calayan and Babuyan Islands, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Aurora, Zambales, Bataan, Camarines Provinces, Catanduanes; eastern coasts of alabay, Sorsogon and Quezon including Polilio Island; western coast of Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and northern and western coast of Palawan.
