Vancouver man charged with assault following incident near Sunset Beach

A 50-year-old man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly attacked two Vancouver police officers last week.
Police say the incident happened Wednesday, Aug. 21, near Sunset Beach.
Frank Pacella is charged with assaulting a police officer, assaulting a police officer causing bodily harm, resisting arrest and escaping lawful custody.
Two Vancouver Police Department officers were involved, and both were sent to hospital with injuries, according to a press release from the department.
