PNP to build satellite offices near POGOs for swift response against crime

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) will establish satellite offices where there are Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) for quicker response against possible crimes, especially kidnapping.
“Oo para mas mabilis yung pag responde para may tao na rin tayo run tatawag yung casino operator na may nangyaring ganun mas mabilis na mag respond [Yes, so we can respond swiftly, so we have personnel there, casino operators may call if something happens, response will be fast]” Cereno said.
The proposed offices will be open 24 hours.
The PNP-AKG reported that an increase in POGOs has also caused a rise in kidnappings particularly of Chinese.
The casinos, the report said, would invite loan sharks to lure Chinese customers.
