One man injured in targeted Burnaby shooting

A 25-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Burnaby early Thursday morning.
Burnaby RCMP were called out to the area of Keith Avenue and Ivy Street shortly after 4 a.m.
Officers found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The 25-year-old man was transported to hospital and is being treated for the injuries he sustained in the shooting.
The Burnaby RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is investigating and believes the shooting was targeted.
Police say they will not be releasing any more information.

BC Emergency Health Services says it received a 911 call at 4:17 a.m. to respond to a medical emergency at Greenall Avenue and Keith Street in Burnaby. Paramedics transported one patient to hospital in serious condition.
