ArenaBowl 32: What to know, how to watch and more
The Philadelphia Soul take on the Albany Empire in the Arena Football League championship game on Sunday night. Here’s everything you need to know about ArenaBowl 32.
What: Philadelphia vs. Albany in ArenaBowl 32
When: Sunday, 8 p.m. ET
How to watch: ESPN2 and ESPN app
How they got here: Philadelphia went 7-5 in the regular season, with two of its losses coming to Albany, which finished at 10-2 atop the league standings.
The Arena league uses an aggregate scoring system over two games in the semifinals to determine its ArenaBowl participants. Albany defeated the Baltimore Brigade, 123-47, led by game MVP, linebacker Terence Moore, who returned an interception for a touchdown and ran a kickoff back for a score as well.
Philadelphia defeated the Washington Valor 117-74 over its two-game series, with receiver Darius Prince scoring three times.
This will be the sixth time the Soul have played in the ArenaBowl in franchise history, winning it all in 2008, 2016 and 2017. The Empire have not won the championship, but the city of Albany has had an Arena Football League team to win it all when the Firebirds were the city’s team in 1999.
Albany has not hosted an ArenaBowl since that game was played, and will now host the championship game with the Empire searching for its first title.
