State of calamity declared in quake-hit Itbayat

BASCO, Batanes – The Itbayat municipal council on Monday declared the town under a state of calamity following the major twin earthquakes on Saturday.
Local officials said the declaration would now allow the local government unit to tap their emergency funds.
