Cirrus clouds formed over Batanes islands as a series of destructive earthquakes struck Itbayat Island Saturday. The two are unrelated phenomena. But cirrus clouds indicate the arrival of rain, an occurrence that could simply aggravate the condition of many residents left homeless by the tremors. (Photos contributed by Ino Cobico)
