From the looks of it, the country’s jiu-jitsu bets are now battle-ready for the coming SEA Games which the country will be hosting in late November.
In particular is multi-titled Meggie Ochoa.

The beautiful but deadly Ochoa added her triumph in the 4th Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship over the weekend in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolian to her burgeoning collection of titles after emerging triumphant in the 45-kilogram division.

The three-time world champion bested Alyafei Wadimah of the United Arab Emirates to produce the country’s lone gold medal in the prestigious event.
In all, the PH team won seven medals, including silver by Annie Ramirez.

Also a world champion, Ramirez lost to Thai Onanong Sangsirichok in the women’s -57-kilogram division.

Kimberly Custodio took the bronze.

Jollirine Co likewise finished with a silver medal in the women’s -48-kilogram as she lost to Kanjutha Phattaraboonsorn of Thailand in the women’s -48-kilogram category.

Other silver medal winners were Andrea Lao and Carlo Peña.

Lao lost to Thailand’s Orapa Senatham in the women’s -63-kilogram division, while Peña suffered a stinging defeat to UAE’s Zayed Alkatheeri in the -56-kilogram division.
