Carpio: China in possession of ‘less than 7%’ of West Philippine Sea

SUPREME Court Justice Antonio Carpio disputed President Rodrigo Duterte’s statement that China was in possession of the West Philippine Sea.
In a statement on Tuesday, Carpio said that what the president said in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday was inaccurate.
He said that China was actually in possession of less than 7 percent of the territory.
