NOT GLORIOUS ENOUGH: Fortunately or unfortunately for Eugene Domingo, there are no “Glorious’’ moments in her first team-up with Tony Labrusca.

Romantic scenes in mock feature film, “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank: The Real Untold Story of Josephine Bracken” are confined to simple holding of hands, a few pecks here and there.

In one scene, he gloriously lifts her character, Josephine Bracken, in ecstasy.

Labrusca, last seen in a web series as the hunky lead star of high-erotica film “Glorious,” plays Jose Rizal in this half-feature, half-docu series, the third Septic Tank film.

SEVEN EPISODES: The latest in the popular franchise, written by Chris Martinez and directed by Marlon Rivera, is a seven-episode series that aired starting July 17 on iWant.

The series documents the step-by-step process in making a biopic.

EUGENE Domingo

EUGENE Domingo stars in ‘Ang Babae sa Septic Tank: The Real Untold Story of Josephine Bracken’.

In the mock film within a film, Eugene plays all of the following: actress, writer, director, producer, atbp.

She insists on playing the Irish mestiza, Josephine Bracken, Jose Rizal’s lover, in the project, oblivious of her ethnic looks.

Playing her volatile counterpoint as the harassed screenwriter is director Jose Javier Reyes in his first acting role.

Cast as Jose Rizal’s sisters Narcisa and Saturnina, respectively, are Mylene Dizon and Joana Ampil.

DIRECTOR OVERBOARD: As a first-time director in the film, Direk Uge goes overboard with every aspect of filmmaking.

She interferes with costume design, screenplay, musical score, editing, and everything else, causing turmoil on the set.

Renowned Filipino historian Ambeth Ocampo goes onboard to ground viewers on the true stories and shocking trivia surrounding the historical characters.

In the first two Septic movies, Eugene made a mark playing a megalomaniacal and egotistical character.

The films satirized the local film industry, both indie and mainstream.

Septic Tank 3 promises to be another laugh-out-loud experience.
