Classes suspended in parts of Metro Manila due to bad weather

SOME local governments in Metro Manila suspended classes in all levels, public and private, as monsoon rains enhanced by tropical depression “Falcon” (inyernational name: Danas) were expected on Wednesday.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso suspended classes from pre-school to elementary in public and private schools.
In a Facebook post by the Quezon City Public Affairs Office on Tuesday night, acting mayor Gian Carlo Sotto approved the recommendation of the city’s risk reduction and management council to suspend classes in view of the “light to moderate to occasional heavy rains expected.”
Pasig City Mayor Victor “Vico” Sotto sent a tweet on Tuesday night announcing the suspension of classes.
Mandaluyong City Mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Abalos also announced the suspension of classes in the city.
The Marikina City government, on its Facebook page, said classes were suspended “to ensure the safety of all school children in light of the Pagasa advisory reporting rainshowers and thunderstorms that will be experienced in Metro Manila brought about by the enhanced monsoon of Typhoon Falcon.”
