MPBL: Mindoro, Caloocan win

Expansion team Mindoro and Caloocan barged their way to the win column of the MPBL Lakan Season even as Bulacan got back on track after hurdling powerhouse Basilan late Tuesday night at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in Malolos.
The Tamaraws edged the Paranaque Patriots, 63-61, behind another solid game from Mac Baracael.
Baracael knocked in 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, but he got plenty of help, particularly from Sandy Cenal.

Cenal tallied 16 points behind a steady 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
Winless in three games, the Victory Liner-backed Supremos put an end to their misery by bringing down the favored Zamboanga-Family’s Brand Sardines, 83-74.
Almond Vosotros, the high-scoring guard, waxed hot for the Supremos as he nailed 31 points to arrest his team’s alarming skid.
In the nightcap, host Bulacan put the clamps down on the usually explosive Basilan squad to complete a huge 65-55 upset win.
