Mayor ‘Isko’ taps ‘product of public school system’ as new PLM president

MANILA Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso appointed former Social Welfare undersecretary Emmanuel Leyco president of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM).

“You are hereby authorized to discharge the duties and responsibilities of the said position,” Domagoso said in his appointment letter to Leyco who will serve a six-year term from June 1, 2019 to June 30, 2025.

Four days before Domagoso assumed his post, he promised the students of PLM that its new president should be a product of the public education system.

Leyco studied at the Dr. Alejandro Albert Elementary School, Ramon Magsaysay High School and Claro M. Recto High all in Sampaloc, Manila. JOSHUA VERA CRUZ
