THE family of Eddie Garcia has agreed to put the awarded actor on DNR or “do-not-resuscitate” status, a spokesperson revealed.

According to medical websites, a DNR is a medical order written by a doctor. It instructs health care providers not to do cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) if a patient’s breathing stops or if the patient’s heart stops beating.

Meanwhile, in a medical bulletin released Friday night, Dr. Tony Rebosa belied reports that the family has considered the “withdrawal of life support” for Garcia, who is still in comatose as of press time.

“Please be informed that the family of Mr. Eddie Garcia has not authorized nor has it consented to withdrawal of life support,” the statement read.

“They have however agreed to place him on DNR status,” Rebosa added.
