Trillanes shows Bikoy’s alleged text messages with priest

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV yesterday maintained that Peter Joemel Advincula, or “Bikoy”, acted on his own and was not hired by the opposition to discredit President Duterte.
In a press briefing in Senate, Trillanes presented proof debunking Advincula’s claims that administration critics were behind the “Ang Totoong Narco List” videos that tagged the Chief Executive’s family and allies in illegal drugs as part of a supposed plot to unseat him.
The opposition senator showed Advincula’s alleged text messages to a certain priest whom he approached last year for sanctuary.
He said copies of the text messages were given to him by the religious groups that took care of Advincula, but he did not name the person being addressed to in the conversation.
In his messages August last year, the self-proclaimed whistleblower pressed the clergy to help him expose his “important” information against Duterte and the others.
“Hindi na po ito biro-biro padre! Baka po maunahan tayo! Dini-discredit na agad ako ng grupo nila Bong Go sa kung ano pwede kong ipalabas na ebidensya laban sa kanila,” read one of Advincula’s supposed texts, screenshots of which given to media, last August 23, 2018.
“Padre kunan mo na ako ng video para marecord ka ng testimonya ko! Yung sa maghintay kaya ko yun padre! Pero yung sisihin palagui ako yun ang ‘di ko kaya padre! Plano ko nang tapusin ang buhay ko! Ang sakit-sakit na ng ulo ko!” he also threatened.
Another message showed Advincula supposedly asking for at least R16,700 to pay for his house rental and transportation expenses from Albay.
Trillanes was mentioned when Advincula, in another text, told the priest, “Padre tumulong sa hindi si Trillanes itutuloy ko ito! Naumpisahan ko na ‘to tatapusin ko ito! Kahit utangin man dito [ang] buhay ko!”
Trillanes said the messages prove that Advincula was not fed with the statements he made in the controversial videos.
“Kung ako ang nagbibigay sa kanya bakit siya (Advincula) nagsasabi ng ganito…Makikita niyo ‘yong tema, siya ‘yong nangungulit doon sa mga nagkukupkop sa kanya. Kabaligtaran sa kanyang alegasyon na ito ay sinusubo na sa kanya na para siyang robot na sinususian lang,” he told reporters. (Vanne Terrazola)
