NU, LSGH in title rematch

Multi-titled National University and La Salle Greenhills arranged a grudge title rematch by mauling their respective 15-under rivals recently in the 6th Headstart Developmental League presented by AXA Team EDS at the SGS gym on Araneta Avenue, Quezon City.
The NU Bullpups used their height and heft advantage to dump Chachago, 138-39, while the La Salle Greenies likewise romped to a 105-59 win over Philippine Cultural College.

Daniel Padilla and Mark de Leon led seven NU players in double figures with 27 and 23 points, respectively, in the event also sponsored by Freego Jeans and AXA Philippines.
The Bullpups won the title last year by beating the Greenies in a thrilling fashion.
The Greenies, however, are out to get back at the Bullpups who are out mirror the feat of their senior team.
Aside from completing a three-peat in the recent Palarong Pambansa, NU has also stamped its class in the ASEAN School meet.
In the 12-under division, it will be LSGH vs Octacon Tires as the Greenies clobbered Manila Braves, 97-58, thanks to solid all-around show of A. Peralta.
With six players producing double-digit scores Octogon Tires whipped Maestro, 133-43.
Elijah Cabiluna paced Octagon with 27 points while TJ delos Santos and Daryl Valdeavilla chipped in 23 and 20 points, respectively.
The finals will be held today also at the SGS gym.
