DoLE June 12 job fairs set

The Department of Labor and Employment will hold 21 job fairs nationwide on Independence Day.

The Labor department said local and overseas employment will be offered during the job fairs.

Top vacancies for local employment are production machine operators, production and factory workers, customer service representatives, call center agents, sewers, sales clerks, cashiers, delivery crews, service crews, and marketing officers.

Top vacancies for overseas employment are cleaners, professional nurses (general), waiters and waitresses, service crews, company drivers, registered midwives, staff nurses, English teachers (Japan), janitress, barista, technicians (general), and nursing aides.

The Independence Day Job and Business Fairs 2019 will be held in:

Region 1: Nepo Mall, Dagupan City; Candon Civic Center, Candon City, Ilocos Sur; and Union Christian College, San Fernando City, La Union.

Region 7: Cebu City Sports Complex and Abellana National School, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, and Lamberto L. Macias Sports and Cultural Center, Dumaguete City.

Region 4-A: Pavillion Mall, BiƱan City, Laguna; and Liwasang Aguinaldo, Kawit, Cavite.

Region 4-B: San Jose, Occidental Mindoro and Odiongan, Romblon.

Other venues are San Andres Sports Complex, Malate, Manila (National Capital Region); Sky Zone, Porta Vaga Mall, Upper Session Road, Baguio City (Cordillera Administrative Region); Peoples Gymnasium, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (Cagayan Valley); Ayala Malls, Harbor Point, Subic Freeport Zone (Central Luzon); 888 Premier Mall, Bacolod City (Western Visayas); Provincial Covered Court, Catbalogan City, Samar (Eastern Visayas);

KCC Mall de Zamboanga, Gov. Camins Road, Zamboanga City (Zamboanga Peninsula); Atrium, Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City (Northern Mindanao); NCC Mall Buhangin, Kilometer 7, Tigatto Road, Buhangin, Davao City (Davao region); Trade Hall SM City Gensan, General Santos City (Socsargen); and PLGU Training Center, Capitol, Butuan City (Caraga).

The Bicol region and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao have yet to announce the venue of their job fairs.

DoLE advised jobseekers to bring their resume (bring multiple copies), 2 x 2 ID photo, photocopy of training certificates, Professional Regulations Commission license (if applicable), Diploma (if applicable),and Certificate of Employment (for previously employed). (Leslie Ann G. Aquino)
