Authentic farm-to-table dining experience comes in full circle in Sheraton Manila Hotel with their own 300-sqm land, where they will soon harvest most of their herbs and vegetable requirements. The hotel partnered with Nurture Farmacy, a certified organic farm and accredited by Department of Tourism, located in Nurture Wellness Village, Tagaytay City. They recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to kick start the development of the land that will be ready in three months’ time.

Produce in the Sheraton Farm are creatively shaped and planted in their brand’s logo. A highlight in the farm is kale, one of the most nutritious leafy greens, and raw organic cacao. It would have wide-variety of herbs like basil, rosemary, peppermint, steva, dill, and vegetables like cucumber, lettuce, carrots, eggplant. Selections will be updated according the hotel’s needs.

“We are both excited and proud of this initiative. It is bringing to life our commitment of providing authentic Filipino hospitality through services or products of high quality and supports local communities. As we gain confidence from our guests, we are also promoting local resources,” said Anna Vergara, general manager of Sheraton Manila. Apart from more opportunities for farmers, this is also an eco-project of the hotel. Only handmade natural fertilizers and pesticides will be used, ensuring all produce are chemical free.
