PPCRV ends unofficial count in senatorial, party-list polls with Villar, ACT-CIS on top

REELECTIONIST Sen. Cynthia Villar and the Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) remained on top of the partial and unofficial tally as it drew to a close on Wednesday, with the Commission on Elections Comelec) proclaiming the winning candidates on the same day.
In the count of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) and the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster sa Pilipinas (KBP) as of 9:01 a.m., Villar garnered 25,128,563 votes, followed by Senator Grace Poe, with 21,922,209.
Former presidential aide Christopher “Bong” Go remained in third place with 20,465,005 votes, followed by returning senator Pilar Juliana “Pia” Cayetano with 19,645,110 votes, and former police chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa with 18,815,388 votes.
Other members of the “Magic 12” are:
- Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara: 18,051,786 votes
- Lito Lapid: 16,885,726 votes
- Imee Marcos: 15,740,650 votes
- Francis Tolentino: 15,378,461 votes
- Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel 3rd: 14,557,849 votes
- Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr.: 14,549,158 votes
- Nancy Binay: 14,451,943 votes
In the party-list race, the ACT-CIS party-list, backed by controversial broadcaster Erwin Tulfo, has 2,612,048 votes.
Bayan Muna is in 2nd with 1,110,407 votes, Ako Bicol in 3rd with 1,046,644 votes, Citizens’ Battlecry Against Corruption (CIBAC) in 4th with 924,345 votes, and Ang Probinsyano in 5th with 767,840 votes.
PPCRV board member Arwin Serrano said the count would be the last for the agency, as the Comelec’s transparency servers were closed at 11 a.m.
The PPCRV said it received election returns (ERs) from 55,808 out of 85,769 clustered precincts for 65.07 percent and verified 32,588 of the 35,192 electronically transmitted ERs.
The PPCRV said it was also able to match 32,586 out of the 32,588 ERs that were transmitted for a 99.99 percent accuracy rate. ARIC JOHN SY CUA
