ONE Championship reached new heights in the first quarter of 2019 — and the rockstars of Asian martial arts aren’t planning on stopping there.

With how 2019 started, ONE Championship revenues are expected to exceed USD$100 million in the near future, and that expectation is hinged on how The Home Of Martial Arts took the world by storm.

This was most evident in the record-breaking 41.9 million viewership of ONE: A NEW ERA, the organization’s inaugural show in Japan on Sunday, 31 March.

Also, the promotion kicked off its deal with Turner Sports, which broadcasts ONE Championship on TNT and B/R Live in North America.

That has given the company even more exposure, and the high expectations are certainly warranted.

“I would like to get ONE events to surpass 50 million this year,” said ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong in an interview withONEFC.com.

“I do believe for our Tokyo event in October, which is the 100th show in the company’s history, we aim to have a mega show, and I do believe we can beat 50 million,” he added.

Because of the huge market opportunity in Asia, the potential of ONE Championship revenues remains on an upward trajectory, with their revenues having the potential to exceed the NFL due to the 4 billion population base in Asia.

Moreover, the company has been aggressive in expanding into other avenues, particularly with ONE Studios and ONE Esports, further making it Asia’s largest sports media property.

For Sityodtong, there is no such thing as a goal that’s too high, and fans should only expect more from ONE Championship as it continues to crush records and break revenues.

“Even before that, there may be a chance [to beat that] because our numbers are growing every week and every month, and obviously, our footprint is growing every week and every month as well,” said Sityodtong.

”There are a lot of great things that are happening.”
