Female cadet tops PMA class 2019

A female cadet from Ilocos Sur province emerged as the Philippine Military Academy’s (PMA) top graduate of class 2019.
Cadet 1st Class (CL) Dione Mae Apolog Umalla of Allilem Daya village in Alillem town led the 263 graduates of PMA Class of 2019 MABALASIK (Mandirigma ng Bayan, Iaalay ang Sarili, Lakas at Tapang, Para sa Kapayapaan) and was among the five top ranking female cadets.
Umalla is the fourth female cadet to graduate as PMA class valedictorian.
The graduating class has 73 female cadets. Members of the class will be commissioned as junior officers by President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday. NEIL JAYSON N. SERVALLOS
