The PBA is expected to announce this week sanctions of those potentially involved in an incident where a man dressed in a Spiderman costume caused a disruption during Game 5 of the recent Philippine Cup Finals between San Miguel Beer and Magnolia.

PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial said a decision could be made shortly after summoning those who took part in a bizarre scene where a man later identified as Paolo Felizarta entered the court wearing the Spiderman suit.

Marcial said the league had already reviewed videos of the incident which happened with 3:08 remaining in the fourth quarter of Magnolia’s 88-86 victory at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Felizarta was arrested shortly after colliding with June Mar Fajardo but not after getting punched by San Miguel’s Ronald Tubid.

Tubid later apologized, saying his action was in retaliation to what he thought was a clear intent on hitting Fajardo.

Felizarta was released last week from QCPD Station 7 after posting bail.

Another man, initially thought as an accomplice, was also apprehended by security but not after bearing the brunt of those angered by the incident. He was later released.
