PNP forms task force for speedy probe of lawyers’ killings

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) created special task groups to investigate the killing of two lawyers in Rizal and Pangasinan latst Friday.

PNP chief General Oscar Albayalde said the special investigation task groups (SITG) were created “promptly” after the shootings took place.

Lawyer Edilberto Golla Jr. was shot dead near his home in Barangay San Isidro in Rodriguez, Rizal.

Another lawyer, Val Crisostomo, was peppered with bullets by a man riding a motorcycle in Barangay Bonuan Tondaligan, Dagupan City’s courthouse.

“The groups were created for faster investigation,” Albayalde told reporters.
