Cops nab gang member for allegedly stealing motorcycle in Navotas

MANILA, Philippines — A suspected member of “Sputnik Gang” was arrested for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Navotas City on Friday night.
Navotas police taken into custody suspect John Kenneth Candelaria, 24, of Barangay Baesa in Quezon City. He was arrested along Santos Street in Tangos South, Navotas City.
In an initial investigation, victim Ace Vergel Dichoso, 30, of Navotas City, left his black Mitsukoshi motorcycle (NE 79379) parked in front of his house and went to sleep.
Afterwards, Dichoso’s neighbor woke him up saying he saw Candelaria stole his motorcycle.
Upon confirming that the motorcycle went missing, Dichoso and his neighbor went after Candelaria and found the suspect pushing the motorcycle along Gov. Pascual Street in San Roque, Navotas.
Dichoso then accosted Candelaria and reported the incident to the nearest police community precinct.
Candelaria was taken to Navotas City police station for proper disposition and filing of appropriate chagres. (Editor: Jonathan P. Vicente)
