3 men arrested in Pasay for possession of fake P15-M bills

POLICE arrested on Thursday three men, two of them identified as Chinese, who allegedly tried to buy casino chips with fake $300,000 bills at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
Fernando Silanga, 44; Tiange Wu, 31; and Song Ho Sang, 53, were apprehended at the Grand Wing of Resorts World Manila after employees found that the US dollar bills worth P15 million were fake.
Employees sought the assistance of the Villamor Police Community Precinct, resulting in the arrest of the three while playing at the hotel’s casino wing.
Police said the most of the bills had the same serial numbers.I
Investigation showed that one James Park, identified as a Korean, gave the bills to the suspects.
Park is the subject of a manhunt.
The suspects are detained at the Pasay Police Station where they were awaiting the filing of estafa charges and for violating the Revised Penal Code’s provision on Illegal Possession and use of False Treasury or Bank Notes and Other Instruments in Credit.
They have been brought to the Pasay Prosecutors’ Office for inquest proceedings while the bills were brought to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for examination. NEIL JAYSON N. SERVALLOS
