Villar, ACT-CIS party-list still ahead in partial, unofficial tally

REELECTIONIST Cynthia Villar is still the leading in the Senate race based the partial and unofficial results transmitted to the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) from the transparency servers of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday.
As of 11:04 a.m., Villar garnered 24,941,807 votes nationwide and overseas from over 60 million registered voters. In second place is re-electionist Senator Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares who got 21,787,602 votes and at third is former presidential aide Christopher “Bong” Go with 20,269,311 votes.
Candidates who are still in the winning circle are outgoing 2nd District Rep. Pia Cayetano (19,498,576), ex-top policeman Ronald “Bato” de la Rosa (18,630,528) Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara (17,925,097).
Completing the top 12 are actor Manuel “Lito” Lapid (16,768,241); outgoing Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos (15,633,193); former Presidential political adviser Francis Tolentino (15,234,503) former actor Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. (14,427,368); reelectionist senators Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel 3rd (14,421,311) and Maria Lourdes “Nancy” Binay (14,359,995).
The Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) group remained the frontrunner in the party-list race with 2,595,767 votes.
Also in the top 5 are: Bayan Muna with 1,103,235 votes; Ako Bicol Partylist with 1,044,892 votes; Citizens’ Battlecry Against Corruption (Cibac) with 920,036 votes and Ang Probinsyano with 761,386 votes.
About 85,568 (97.7 percent) out of the 87,540 clustered precincts have transmitted their election returns to the Comelec transparency server. CATHERINE A. MODESTO
